Alia Bhatt is an Indian actress and model who appears in Bollywood films. Born into a family where her parents, Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan, and elder sister Pooja Bhatt were actors and filmmakers, Bhatt made her acting debut at the age of 19 with Karan Johar's Student Of The Year, which was a box-office success.

Bhatt's first movie role was as a child artist when with Sangharsh, starring Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta where she played the younger Zinta.
In 2012, Bhatt made her debut in Karan Johar's Student Of The Year along with Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan.Her performance were appreciated with film critic Taran Adarsh from Bollywood Hungama stating, "Alia's role is reminiscent of Kareena Kapoor in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham .
